i am this

make no mistake
my breath is still there
but i have stepped aside
surrounding myself
caffeine nicotine
my words
wondering where it all went
truth that was shared
notice i'm alone
i asked for this
only tonight

somtimes drifting aside
but if you look right
where you always have
you might see
what never left
that still shows
the reason i came
